Apocalypse 2012: An Investigation into The Mayan Prediction About Civilization’s End

Why did the Mayan skywatchers choose December 21st, 2012 A.D., as the end of their Long Count calendar? We know that the 13-baktun cycle of the Mayan “Long Count” system of timekeeping was set to end exactly on a winter solstice. The story began 2300 years ago. What is really incredible is that these ancient Mayans skywatchers were able to predict a winter solstice so far off into the future.

After exhaustive research, I have determined that the following is the definitive explanation for why and how the Mayans chose December 21, 2012.

It all has to do with the Mayan Sacred Tree ~ the crossing point of the ecliptic with the band of the Milky Way. There is further evidence of this in the ancient monument that references the “end date” 13 Baktun of the Tortuguero Monument 6. If you realize that a transit is “When Mercury or Venus passes in front of the Sun’s disk as seen from Earth.”  “Mercury transits happen about 12 times in a century.”   Not so important. But, the transits of Venus — the planet about which the Mayans were particularly interested — are “a very rare sight, about 12 times per millennium!”   Several scholars have suggested that the 2012 transit of Venus is all part of the 2012 A.D. end of the world scenario. Basically the “1 degree every 72 years” rule of precession is extremely important. In this way, back in 3114 B.C. the sun conjuncted the Sacred Tree on Oct 10th, which is 72 degrees, or 1/5th of the ecliptic from the winter solstice.

So, there you have it! Any questions?

Other possible Conclusions

OR…

As one Mayan said to another,

“Do you think they’ll be smart enough to figure out that we only had enough room up to 2012. If not, this could really lead to some great end of the world theories!”

When in doubt…

MY NEW PHYSICIAN

Q: Doctor, I’ve heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that it… Don’t waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Brandy distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two body, your ratio two to one.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can’t think of single one, sorry. My philosophy: No pain…good!

Q: Aren’t fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil. How getting more vegetable be bad?

Q
Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Oh no! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me.

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! ‘Round’ is shape!

Well… I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Chardonnay in one hand – chocolate in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO-HOO, what a ride!!”

AND…..

For those of you who watch what you eat, here’s the final word on nutrition and health. It’s a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans…

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like – speaking English is apparently what kills you.

The American Economy ~ A Puny Perspective

Soon, with the economy so weak, upwardly mobile Americans will not even a ford to live in their cars!

Plain and simple, everyone’s fuming, except the 1%, about the widening gap between the rich and poor!

The Government auto know that they need to increase the taxes of the rich. The profits of Big Companies are too high. Money needs to be distributed better in our society. I am writing this column so that I might be able to help steer politicians in the right direction. Otherwise, they are headed on the highway to hell. I am shocked by how much we have been lead astray by those in power. We have been conditioned to believe that this is an acceptable way to live. Putting pressure on your local politicians and aligning ourselves with those that appreciate the damage that has been done, may help us gain real traction.

I don’t acclaim to be an export on this issue, but gimme a brake! I think it’s my civic duty to report these facts. My mercury is rising and I don’t think we should dodge the problem. There are just too many people who can’t a ford to fill up their car which is a tragedy in America and such a saab story!

We are sadly cadilacking in support for the poor.  Many homeless people have lost their dignity and are a shell of their former selves. I may be clutching at straws but I’m tired of doing nothing. I’m not too sure which direction America is steering but the current way of thinking needs some serious repairs.  We need to take this issue wheely seriously, unlike some politicians who take a blinkered perspective and are just fuel of scrap. Many, like Rick Scott, give an automatic response that the homeless and poor are lazy and it’s their fault. We should work hard in order to help shift their attitudes because, quite frankly, I don’t like their tune. Some recent legislation that helps corporations should just be scrapped or reversed. Lately, many car dwelling people are running on empty, are driven to dispair, have no where to turnand are just plain exhausted. Their dreams of days down on the beach will have to take a back seat for quite a while because they can’t a ford to drive there.

Big Business and politicians, in their efforts to drive down costs, have their blinkers on and have ignored the long term consequences of such a strategy. The window of opportunity is closing rapidly. We need to put the pedal to the metal and fire on all cylinders to get things rolling. It would be a great disservice to the poor if we didn’t explore all the avenues open to us. If we work together wheel be able to put pressure on politicians and big companies many of whom I’m not a fan of.

We need to gear up for a fight to help those in such tire straights and not allow this cause to stall.

I hope we can inject more money to help advocacy groups so they can accelerate this one through the courts. Hiring top lawyers may be the key to success and provide a spark of hope. Unfortunately, many of these types of actions get suspended or stalled in the court system.

It’s no use being cranky and continuing to fume about this issue. We need to spring into action inorder to make any kind of dent in this problem! Remember, ‘The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease.‘  A good place to start is to form a government panel before our efforts hit the skids. What ever happens, it looks like a bumpy road ahead for the middle class and the poor.

Unfortunately, I carn’t think of what else to write because I have engine block,  so oil leave now…

How to save America.

Politicians and big business need to be less selfish and greedy!

Sexual Satisfaction Increases with Age

A new study reveals that women’s satisfaction in the bedroom increases with age, even as sexual desire wanes.

The study, analyzed sexual activity, desire and satisfaction in a group of women, age 40 or older, with a median age of 67 years. The 806 women studied were part of the Rancho Bernardo Study, which has tracked the health of residents within a planned community in San Diego for 40 years.

The majority of women — including sexually active and sexually inactive respondents — were moderately or very satisfied with their sex lives, and the frequency at which women were very satisfied with their sex lives increased with respondents’ ages. Likewise, nearly two-thirds of the women reported at least moderate satisfaction with their sexual relationships. The study was published in The American Journal of Medicine this month.

women enjoy sex more as they age study
