Doomsday December 21, 2012 The End is Near ~ Maybe

I have written so many stories about the Mayan Calendar and the Apocalypse.

It better come true!

My research began with archaeology and expert interpretations of the calendar. 

My investigations lead me to believe that the prophecies

might be true

or

they could be a

SUPER HOAX

I discovered the following about the Mayan Calendar:

It is not an accident that the

 Mayan Long Point Calendar

ends during the

Year of the Dragon.

The Year of the Dragon and the Mayan Calendar are both based on cycles of time.

The year 2012 is a year when the Year of the Dragon and the Mayan Calendar intersect.

 Many people believe that the Mayan calendar holds a prophecy that the world will end in December 21, 2012. Not quite sure which time zone the Apocalypse starts in??? The year 2012 is special because a specific date, December 21 2012, was provided by a civilization.

It all has to do with the Mayan Sacred Tree ~ the crossing point of the ecliptic with the band of the Milky Way. There is further evidence of this in the ancient monument that references the “end date” 13 Baktun of the Tortuguero Monument 6. If you realize that a transit is “When Mercury or Venus passes in front of the Sun’s disk as seen from Earth.”  “Mercury transits happen about 12 times in a century.”   Not so important. But, the transits of Venus — the planet about which the Mayans were particularly interested — are “a very rare sight, about 12 times per millennium!”   Several scholars have suggested that the 2012 transit of Venus is all part of the 2012 A.D. end of the world scenario. Basically the “1 degree every 72 years” rule of precession is extremely important.  Friends have asked me what will I do with all the posts when December 22 comes around?

I’ll just change the date and wait for the next Doomsday Prediction date.

The next Doomsday date might be 5000 years from now when the next Mayan age ends. Or, it may be earlier depending on what Harold Camping predicts.

Even Costco has jumped on the Doomsday bandwagon, delivering survival kits in handy backpacks for preppers— enough food for two weeks, knives, a hatchet, duct tape, a tent and first-aid kit.

But what do Preppers do after 2 weeks? 

After a great deal of research and thought, I have come to the conclusion that Preppers are wasting their time. After all, what’s the point in living in a world without the internet, Facebook, Google+, TV, Pinterest, and Twitter?
